Okay, I downloaded this thing called “Freez FLV to MP3 Converter” because I wanted to put a song I really like on my phone as a ringtone, but when I got into the programme it said:
“Registration is free. Thanks for using SmallVideoSoft’s products. You should be authorized to use our products by registration. Register at our website to get the code for free.”
So anyway, I did that. But when I went to get the free code, it said :
“The registration code will be shown below immediately after you place the order! Thanks for your registration! (The free registration has been closed for the huge website traffic.)”.
This has to be fraud, as it is a misleading offer. What are your thoughts?

It’s another one of those internet advertisement scams. Just like pop-ups and spam e-mail, download offers will swindle you into giving out personal information and/or paying for something you’ll never receive. The rule of thumb is that if you don’t know what something is or where it came from, don’t download it or give information to it.
